On Wednesday 26th March, Il Pirata Pizzata x The Drink Talking present a one-off tasting menu of contemporary, regional cuisine paired with Italian wines from wine expert Sophia Luckett. 

A tasting evening curated by our head chef & Petra G'Trainer Simon, in collaboration with The Drink Talking's Sophia.

Taking place in a casual, family-style setting, Simon & Sophia take you on a journey through contemporary Italy via food and wine. Over the course of the evening, we'll be showcasing the very best of what Italy has to offer; through regional interpretations of pizza and modern Italian winemaking.

The menu consists of a starter, three pizza tasting courses, and a dessert, each paired with a carefully curated wine & a brief introduction about the inspiration behind each dish and pairing.

Menu:

Salad
San Marzano & Yellow semi-dried tomatoes, Stracciatella, Peach, Pomegranate, Walnut, Pine nut & Sunflower Seeds. Giuseppe Giusti House vinaigrette.

Marinara "Focaccia"
Semolina & Potato Foccacia base. Black Garlic, Piennolo Tomatoes, Capers, Oregano, Black Pepper, Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Gamberetto "Pizza Gourmet"
Mixed seed & grain Padellino base. Red Prawn Tartare, Cavolo Nero, Prawn Head Bisque.

Margherita “Roman”
Wheat, Soy & Rice Pinsa base. San Marzano Jam, Smoked Burrata, Basil Oil.

Tartufi al cioccolato "Chocolate Truffles"
Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio, Raspberry, Hazelnut.
